The Steinbach CMC is planning a missions trip to Bolivia later this year.  In order to raise funds for the trip, they are hosting an auction on May 26 at the church, 479 Hanover Street in Steinbach.

There are a wide variety of items up for bid, which have been donated.  These include tools, furniture, weekend getaways, entertainment packages, Winnipeg Goldeyes tickets, garden sheds, clothing items, and much more.  There will be something for everyone.

The afternoon will start with a BBQ lunch at 1 p.m., followed by the auction at 2 p.m.   Everyone is welcome to come out.  For more information, please contact the church.

Pine Ridge Camp
Lucas & Sara Gabrielson have received word from NCEM that fundraising for a new home can begin. The cabin they live in is very old and it is difficult to keep out the bats. If you know some people that would be willing to raise funds for this, or would be willing to help with the physical work once the funds are in place, please let them know. They are also very excited to share with you that they are expecting (not only a new home but a baby later this year!) Congratulations!!

Papua New Guinea
Pete & Lesley Doerksen enjoyed a trip to one of the tribes in PNG. There is an established church and these are doing outreaches to the other villages. Pete & Lesley were helping out at the Citizen Training Seminar. The purpose of the seminar was to encourage and strengthen the leaders in their faith walk.
Pray for: Jessica as she completes her education and joins the Interface program, and then prepares to leave PNG. Also pray for Josh Mica and Kelsey as they prepare for exams at the end of May.
Terry & Rosie Banman: Terry, along with two other men, ise going on a survey trip to a potential new tribe where they could send missionaries.  This means hiking rugged mountain trails, eating local food, and sleeping in tribal huts. Terry’s back is doing much better but is still having some issues with it.   Their car is still not running and needs work.
Pray for: Terry’s trip, for the NTMA flight program so missionaries can get to the remote areas. Pray for school (NCA) as they need staff, and that the financial support would come.

Continental Missions Inc. has been ministering to the northern communities in Manitoba for 70 years. CMI has gone through a re-vision process including a name change, new board, and new General Director. Morgan Serger has been hired to take on this position. Morgan and Krista are not new to the mission. The name new operating name of the mission is Mid-Way Christian Leadership. The organization has chosen to focus on “Growing Christian Leaders in the North”.
Pray for: The Board and also for Morgan & Krista as they tackle the challenges before them.

CMC Mission Conference 
This year's missions conference will take place October 13-16, 2012 at the Christian Faith Church in Winkler. Pray for the CFC committee and the CMC Missions Board as they prepare for this great event.
