Mission Report - December 11, 2011 PDF Print
"But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)

As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and get together with family and friends at Christmas, let’s remember our missionaries who are in different countries around the world. Pray for them as they celebrate with their missionary families and show their joy and the love of Christ to the people they are ministering to. Pray that those people will want that joy as well.

As we come to the end of 2011,
  • Praise God for the missionaries that faithfully serve.
  • Praise God for the financial needs that have been and are being met.
  • Pray for missionaries at home on furlough, that they would enjoy the chance to reconnect with family and friends.
  • Pray that all our missionaries can reach 100% support.
  • Pray for Rudy and Erna Friesen as they head back to Bolivia, leaving their children in Canada so they can further their education.
  • Praise the Lord for a great missions conference in October. Plans are already being made for next year's missions conference, tentatively scheduled for October 13 to 16, 2012.  Thank you to the missionaries who were able to attend the 2011 conference and share what God is doing in their mission fields.
Each issue of The Chronicle features letters from our missionaries. These letters say a lot more than we can put into our monthly mission reports.  We encourage those who are interested in what is happening in the various mission fields to pick up the latest issue of The Chronicle at a local CMC church or by visiting our website.

The CMC Board of Missions would like to say thank you to everyone for your prayers and your financial support.   Thank you to the churches who are training the workers who are going out to serve.  Without this, there wouldn't be a need for the missions board.

May God richly bless you as you celebrate Christmas and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!
