Terry & Rosie Banman, CMC Missionaries in Papua New GuineaThe Chortitzer Mennonite Conference strongly believes in the church's mandate in fulfilling the "Great Commission" of preaching, teaching, and discipling. Currently, the CMC supports more than 20 missionaries and missionary couples serving in various ministries across Canada and around the world.

The CMC Board of Missions, established in 1968, oversees missions for the conference. The Board sends out missionaries, administers their support, and keeps the churches updated on all CMC Missionaries. The Board also provides financial support to short term mission workers.

The Board of Missions consists of both Conference Ministerial, and laymen from the various churches. As well, each church has its own local missions committee.

Each October, the CMC Board of Missions hosts a Missions Conference, featuring reports from CMC Missionaries, as well as a keynote speaker. Thie 2008 Missions Conference is scheduled for October 17 to 19 .

Supporting Missions
Financial support of CMC Missionaries is administered by the Board of Missions. Funds are mainly received through the regular contributions of CMC members, but individuals and organizations are welcome to make special donations.

If you wish to make a special donation to a certain missionary or missions in general, please make your cheque payable to the CMC Board of Missions and mark with the envelope as to where you wish the money to go. You may send your cheque directly to the conference office or simply leave it in the offering plate at a CMC church. You will receive a tax receipt for your donation.
