Pastor Cornelius & Agatha Wiebe of our Grunthal church have been to Bolivia to share the good news of Jesus on a number of occasions.  An opportunity has opened for them to partner with an established church in Pailon, Bolivia in their efforts to reach out to the Low German community in the area.  They plan to leave on September 1 for a three month ministry trip.

Many in North America have become aware of the needs among the Low German people in Bolivia.  The Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference (EMMC), together with the EBMC has a three fold effort in the missionary work in Bolivia.  They are often referred to as the three E's: evangelism and discipleship, education, and economic development.  Cornelius will be working with the Pastor Wayne Thiessen in outreach efforts.

This is a three month volunteer position and the Wiebe's need to raise CDN $8,500 to cover their travel and basic living expenses during their trip.  The CMC Board of Missions believes this is a great opportunity for Mr. Wiebe to use his gifts to reach out to the people who are close to his heart.  We encourage you to partner with us in sending the Wiebes to Bolivia for this high impact opportunity.

Please pray for Cornelius and Agatha as they prepare and for the Bolivian Mennonites who they will be reaching out to.   If you wish to financially support the Wiebe's, donations can be sent to the conference office in Steinbach or dropped in the offering plate at your local CMC church on Sunday morning.  Please make cheques payable to the Chortitzer Mennonite Conference and designate the donation as "Ministry of Cornelius Wiebe - Bolivia".
