From the Banmans in Papua New Guinea While getting a LOT of rain during our rainy season in PNG, they experienced some earth tremors and landslides that were making it hard for some of the missionaries to drive into their villages. One of the missionaries’ houses was pushed off its posts because of a landslide. The village around their house had a lot of destruction but thank God no people were injured. The people had enough warning to get out of their houses in time. Please pray for the Banmans as they prepare for their home assignment starting in July. So far, there’s been no house available for them to rent in the Mitchell school district. Pray also for safe travels Terry & Rosie, Troy, Kara, and Sharla say thank you for praying.
Ken & Bertha Guenther in the Ukraine The church that the Guenthers attend in Kiev needs a new place to meet. Their current meeting place is very cold in winter, too small, and is going to be torn down by the city. A Christian college has invited the church to set up a tent (more like a Cover-All building) that will house both the college chapel and the church. Their church has already given generously, but needs another $10,000 to contribute their share of the project. If you would like to contribute to this project, please send your donation to the SEND office, designating it for Word of Grace building project, Ukraine. Pray for wisdom and creativity for Ken as he develops an online training module for team leaders. Also, the Guenthers need to obtain new passports and new visas to Ukraine this summer. Pray that documents will be ready on time. Praise: The Guenthers were able to purchase a nice apartment in a good location and within their budget. |
