Rudy & Erna Friesen in Bolivia
The Bridge Ministry Centre in Santa Cruz is looking to open its doors for its first outreach event in June when Family Life Network will host a two week Bible school. They are expecting over 200 people every night. Many travel long distances from remote colonies to attend classes and arrive tired and hungry. Serving them supper when they arrive is a huge blessing and allows them to concentrate on their spiritual needs. Apart from the financial needs needed to complete the building, they looking at getting larger appliances and equipment to cook for 200 people.
Duane & Sylvia Goertzen - Roseau River Bible Camp (CSSM)
Things are good for the Goertzens at camp. There are two building projects on the go right now. One project is a new building - they have finished the digging and hope to start the concrete this summer. Much fundraising will have to be done in order to finish this building. The other large project is a major septic system overhaul. There are many small projects on the go as well.
Rental groups happen almost every weekend and two to four days during the week. Duane is the site manager while Sylvia continues to handling camp registrations while homeschooling the oldest two of their four children while the fifth is on the way.
"As you can tell, things are a bit busy. You can pray that we will have God's direction in the tasks we choose to take on. This would be the main prayer request for our family along with the possibility of buying or building a house in the area. The main prayer request for the camp would be the camp leadership and board that they seek God with all their heart. We praise God that all of these things are happening for His glory and honour. We are seeing lives changed to follow Him all around us." - Duane & Sylvia

New Life Mission Church - Camrose, Alberta
Thank you for praying for this new church. The dedication service has held on January 10, together with the ordination of George Krahn as pastor. They are meeting at the Edberg School for services.
Continue to pray for George and Irene Krahn and their family as they work as our church planters. Pray for health and strength for this couple and that the new church would be a light to the people in the community. Pray that there would be "new life" amongst the people that they are trying to reach.
Jake & Martha Friesen - Gimli Bible Camp (CSSM)
It was the Friesen's first summer being full time on staff. They are grateful to see the work of God in the lives of these precious souls, seeing them come to a loving relationship with Jesus. Summer was very busy with the maintenance and the Lord blessed the camp with some young helpers.
Jake says, "I thank the Lord for bringing these helpers into my life. I had the privilege to lead them in their daily devotions and Bible study. We have been blessed with an extended fall season which allowed us to complete a lot of maintenance and outdoor building responsibilities. the hosting season is well underway and we continue to see how this ministry changes lives and blessed families. This fall also marks our first anniversary in our role at Gimili Bible Camp. A glimpse back reveals an incredible learning process as we took on major building projects (the director's house and a new maintenance shop). Martha was very busy painting, doing all the lost and found laundry each week, keeping the bathrooms and showers clean (a full time job), cleaning out old cabins and turning them into cozy rooms for seniors to stay, and working in the kitchen preparing meals for the seniors camp."
Praise: for prayer partners, supporters, families, friends, health, strength, and opportunities to serve our Lord.
Pray for summer staff, kitchen helpers, and campers, and that God will prepare hearts and will work in amazing ways in lives again this summer. Also pray for wisdom and strength for each new challenge that comes our way.

Jonathan & Fiona Thiessen - Novosibirsk, Russia
On February 10, a team of five men from the Winkler area arrive in Russia to work on the DC building.
"We are very pleased to announce that the Canadian building team arrive this morning at 6:45 a.m., save and sound. Praise God for a smooth flight and no hassle with customs. It was a brisk -38°C when they reached the airport, so a chilly greeting but plenty warm inside. Than you for all your prayers and we continue to trust that God will work out all according to His plan as we trust Him. Thank you as always for your faithful support and friendship. With love from Siberia, Jonathan, Fiona and Caleigh." |
