The Weidenfeld CMC Church is located southeast of Grunthal, Manitoba, along Provincial Road 403. We welcome anyone who wishes to join us for Sunday morning service or other weekly events.


History

The Weidenfeld area (orginally known as Sommerfeld) was settled in the 1870's by Mennonites from the Bergthal Colony in Russia. For a number of years, people had to travel great distances to attend church services. As more families settled in the area south of Grunthal, they began to hold services at a local private school.

In 1938, a new church building was constructed and dedicated at Weidenfeld. A Sunday School program was started in the years following A basement and a new foyer were added to the building in 1978, providing adequate space for the the Sunday School and midweek children's clubs. Club DJ is a weekly program hosted at the church that encourages children to have "Hearts that desire to please God".

Worship services are held each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday School runs during the service. Everyone is welcome to come and worship at Weidenfeld.
